  1. Amadou,

Greetings from a former Peace Corps Volunteer who lived in Senegal for a total of 4 years. My wife is also Senegalese (Seerer though speaks Wolof). The best dictionary I ever found was Ay Baati Wolof available from UCLA (http://www.linguistics.ucla.edu/faciliti/opl.htm). I haven’t read enough of your blog to know if you have found this but it really is great. There are a lot of good Senegalese Websites that you may or may not be aware of:

    seneweb.com
    http://xibar.net/
    http://homeviewsenegal.com

  2. I was in Ourosogui for 2 years, Ndioum for 1 (both in the northern part of the country) and 1 in Sebikhotane (between Thies and Rufisque). I had the opportunity to visit just about everywhere with the exception Kedigou.

  3. I recently recieved several phone calls from a very random number. I didn’t answer so the person sent me a text message in a language I cannot understand. I did some research and found out it is Wolof. Is there anyone that could translate it into English for me or tell me of a website that can?
